About
The Siemens Design Award is a competition for young designers that will take place from October 2021 to March 2022. It is a chance to test their skills and compete against other teams from universities and young professionals from all over the world. It is a platform where students can apply their theoretical knowledge practically and present their ideas to an international audience. Young professionals on the other hand can show what they have learned in the early days of their career. All participants will get to know design experts and industry thought leaders who will expand the horizon of the young designers while they are solving an exciting assignment.

What does Siemens Home Appliances stand for?
Siemens Home Appliances is an intelligent kitchen company. We create smart and innovative solutions in the home appliances sector using cutting-edge technology. In a fast-paced, busy world, we want to simplify the lives of our customers and create valuable experiences in the most important space in the world – our homes. Ambitions drive people forward. We want to give your ambitions the space they need to flourish by simplifying everyday life with sophisticated design approaches.
What is our aim?
As a driver of progress and engineering excellence, we feel like it is our responsibility to promote and foster new ideas, technologies and solutions. It is evident that the challenges of our time need our full attention and we are convinced that an intelligent design today can fundamentally change the world of tomorrow. Therefore, we want to find innovative and new ways right where they take shape: in the ambitious minds of students and young professionals. We want to give these ideas a chance to be seen and implemented.
As Werner von Siemens put it:
”An idea itself has little worth.
An innovation’s importance lies
in its practical implementation.”
